Hi, my name is Jia Tang and I am a licensed real estate broker, investor, and property manager. I want to share how I got into real estate with you.
I studied economics and finance at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My first job out of college was working for a healthcare IT company working as an IT consultant. I traveled to different cities to implement healthcare software and help hospitals transition from paper to electronic medical records. This job teaches me importance of lean process and automation.
Fast forward a few years later I landed a job at a local Seattle Children’s hospital working in the IT department supporting healthcare IT. I worked in this roll for over 8 years. I worked closely with healthcare providers on improving their workflow. I left the healthcare IT industry after 11 years and started working with my husband Peter in real estate industry.
The first real estate deal I did was a flip in south Seattle in 2015. It was a cosmetic fixer that took me 3 months to complete. I learned the valuable lesson on analyze deals, managing contractors and make design decisions. I was hooked! In the past 5 years we continue to grow our real estate business. We manage to flip over 15 houses, acquired 20 rental units, wholesaling houses, completed new constructions, join partnerships, invested in syndication deals, private money lending and I got my real estate license.
There are so many different types of transaction in real estate and I found my passion. I want to share the things I have learn with you. I truly believe in life time learning. I’m always reading books and networking with other real estate professionals and investors to learn new strategies.
As your real estate broker, my first priority is to make my clients happy. I listen to my clients’ wants and needs to achieve the best outcome in every transaction, and I strives to ensure that the buying or selling process is fun, easy, and stress-free. My clients can count on me any time of day when they have a question or a concerns.
